PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

The primary focus of the Specialist will be to schedule and monitor patient treatment schedules for the manufacturing of BMS's Clinical and Commercial autologous cellular immunotherapy products.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree.


Experience
  • With a preference of 3+ years of scheduling or planning experience in a pharma/biotech or health services environment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills, communication and organizational skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with multiple individuals in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong e-system skills (experience with SalesForce, Tableau, Excel and/or similar systems preferred).
  • Ability to learn, retain and apply large amounts of product, procedure, policy and system information.
  • Works well on a team of strong individual contributors.
  • Flexibility in responding to change or business needs.
  • Ability to accommodate non-traditional work schedules.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with cell therapy collection centers, manufacturing sites, administration sites, and third-party logistics partners to create and maintain patient schedules within the process constraints.
  • Input and maintain data related to patient schedules within the CTDO scheduling system.
  • Proactively monitor the cell therapy collection, delivery, transportation, and manufacturing activities for patient schedules as they move through the vein to vein process.
  • Troubleshoot and develop plans of action for expected & unanticipated logistical issues during the transport of cell therapy products
  • Represent patient scheduling on cross-functional project teams.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Liaise/collaborate with apheresis operations, clinical operations, medical directors, commercial, quality, and third-party logistics partners to resolve issues.
  • Author and implement procedures and work instructions related to departmental functions.
  • Support and manage high volume of calls and e-mails.
  • Comply with applicable SOP's and national/local regulations to maintain data integrity.
  • Support the CTDO E-Systems platform as well as contribute to the development.


WORKING CONDITIONS (US Only):
  • Equipment Usage During Work Period: Computer 80%; Phone and Electronic Devices 20%.
  • Sitting at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Regular sitting, standing, talking, listening, using hands & fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach.
  • Requirement to work in a conference room / meeting environment for moderate periods of time.
  • Light to moderate lifting.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required, as business demands dictate.
  • Moderate noise i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers.
